An increased amount of studies have shown a gender gap in financial literacy that gives women a disadvantage in financial planning. No surprise, considering the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, which prohibited discrimination in banking based on gender, was enacted in 1974, less than 60 years ago. At PROFi, we recognize the unfair expectations that have kept women from being leaders of their own finances, and we aim to close the gender gap and provide services specific to helping underrepresented groups with financial planning.
